Of the newly released Toshiba Tecra A6 models, the S513 is a pre-configured one. Priced competitively to attract the small business entrepreneur, A6-S513 is a snappy performer and a great choice for the mobile partner.

Tecra A6-S513 exploits Intel's Core Solo Processor T1300, which enables the notebook to boast performance in demanding situations. To shed some light on the background of this processor, it's the next generation in mobile processors as claimed by Intel Corporation. Focus is more towards faster processing capability as evidenced by a 667Mhz Front Side Bus, however the overall architecture promotes power-optimized mode as notebook manufacturers hear more and more customers calling for battery life. The processor is clocked at 1.66GHz and holds a 2MB L2 cache and features Intels SpeedStep technology with Execute Disable Bit capability.

To fix the other two jigsaw puzzles of the Centrino Technology, the notebook has Mobile 945GM Express Chipset and an integrated Intel PRO/Wireless device.

A6-S513 comes with pre-installed 512MB of DDR2 533MHz SDRAM. The other memory slot is user-accessible and can be equipped by a piece as small as 256MB to as big as 2GB RAM.

Graphics card, perhaps that's where the notebook looses out. It utilizes a simple Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 card, which is fair enough to run applications or watch movies on the 14.1" TruBrite screen, but nothing more.
