A
Reliable And Powerful Workhorse
Notebook
Reviews > Toshiba Satellite >
R10-S802TD
This
reliable, sturdy and highly efficient computer notebook has within a very
short space of time made a name for itself amongst many other competing
versions and in an increasingly crowded and fiercely competitive market
place.
At 6.1 lbs, the Toshiba Satellite R10-S802TD measures a handy 11.4 inches,
1.5 inches and 12.9 inches in depth, height and width. The Pentium M processor
under the hood has a useful speed of 1.7 GHz. When this is combined with
the installed RAM of 256 MB, there are few tasks, no matter how heavy
duty and demanding that this remarkable little workhorse cannot handle.
For those who may later want to consider an upgrade, the maximum RAM that
the Toshiba Satellite R10-S802TD can support is 2 GB.
There is yet another advantage for those who are out in the field a lot.
And this is in the estimated battery life, which stands heads and shoulders
above the rest at an amazing 4 hours.
With this kind of power and speed, there are those who may be disappointed
at the rather common and ordinary Hard Drive size of 40 GB. Although the
truth is that this is ample space and apart from the loaded Operating
system, namely Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, 40 GB is capable
of taking a lot more and for a long time of use before the space comes
anywhere near being used up.
Other features that may be of interest to potential users is the data
bus speed of a generous 400 MHz and an Intel Extreme Graphics2 graphics
processor. This should be good news to any heavy graphics or visual application
users who are quiet often extremely demanding in what they expect from
their computers.
There is little doubt that the Toshiba Satellite R10-S802TD with whatever
few faults it may have is a solid and wise investment for any user.
