An Inexpensive Thin And Light Notebook
Notebook Reviews > Toshiba Satellite > P35-S605

Review Specifications Compare Prices

Analysts have called the Toshiba Satellite p35-S605 a "true gamer's machine" because of the way it recreates and reproduces gaming action. Meaning that computer games geeks can take their gaming action wherever they roam or travel.

This notebook consists of a marvelous 17-inch TruBrite screen and built-in speakers that are loaded with SRS TruSurround. Just the thing you need to recreate the illusion of you being at the movies wherever you are.

The full specs are a Mobile Pentium 4 (hyper-threaded) processor, 100 Gb HD, 512 MB Ram (the maximum is a staggering 2 GB) dual-layer-multi-format DVD burner, 54 g integrated wireless connectivity with support for both Windows XP Home edition and Atheros SuperG technology.

The Toshiba satellite P35-S605 also has a XGA display with a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels and a 16:9 aspect ration. This allows for easy viewing of wide screen movies on your DVD. The TruBrite technology coupled with an anti-glare feature as well as a 200cd/m2 brightness rating gives very vivid and bright images on this notebook. This is a feature that has to be seen to be believed and fully appreciated. It is also a feature that will be greatly appreciated by the rapidly increasing numbers of users who take in their DVD movies via their Notepads.

Measuring 16.5 x 11.5 x 1.85 (WxDxH) and weighing in at 9.5 pounds, this cute little machine is powered by a 12.5-cell re-chargeable Lithium-ion battery which is capable of giving up to 3 hours.

Most analysts love the 128MB of video RAM that is much more than some similarly priced notebook computers. This should enable the Toshiba satellite P35-S605 to outperform other notebooks when it comes to full multi-media applications and games.

Many view this particular notepad as a great balancing act between power, portability and great looks.

One other factor that many users might want to take advantage of is in this laptop’s USB 2.0 support, which makes much faster data transfer between peripherals not only possible but very easy to execute. This happens while compatibility with USB 1.1 devices is still maintained.

All in all budget-conscious consumers will love the many great features offered at such a low price that this notebook represents.
