Review Specifications Compare Prices

A plain or perhaps you can use the word ‘stripped’ to describe where Toshiba Satellite A100-S2211TD is positioned in the notebooks arena. However, this shouldn’t intimidate the average PC user as it is supposed to be an entry-level model and priced accordingly.

If your requirements for a notebook PC are not very demanding, Satellite A100-S2211TD may satisfy those at an economical cost. The hardware architecture of this laptop model is built around a 1.6 GHz Intel Celeron M Processor which is good enough for basic applications. It comes equipped with 256MB of DDR2 SDRAM, high speed but definitely you’ll need to fill the other empty slot as soon as possible to upgrade available RAM.

Of course, at this price one does not expect a high-end dedicated graphics card. However, the installed Radeon 200M graphics card gives some fragrance of ATI. Add the 15.4” widescreen display and you can easily watch movies while traveling.

The hard disk capacity is 40GB, fair enough for an entry level model but with a disadvantage of having 5400RPM speed only. The optical drive consists of a CD writer and DVD player combo. Perhaps some of the movies can be burnt over CD’s.

Compromise has been made in the peripherals and ports category. This model doesn’t include the 5-in-1 Bridge Media Adapter, quite a handy tool when you start using flash memory devices.
