If
you are one of those road warriors who hate to carry the extra baggage,
you'll love the beefy features that Sony has packed in this tiny machine
that weighs less than 3 pounds.
Coming from Sony's TZ series, VGN-TZ150N/B is a stylish ultra portable
notebook that promises to be the best companion for a busy and mobile
executive. With a battery lasting more than 7 hours (power saving mode),
and a potent Intel Core 2 Duo processor, VGN-TZ150N/B is sure to produce
labor speedily throughout a day full of activity.
It's amazing what Sony has managed to pack within this small piece of
equipment. Its hardware profile that consists of a 1.6GHz Intel Core 2
Duo processor, Bluetooth technology, wireless LAN going all the way up
to 'N' connectivity speeds while staying compatible with a/b/g wireless
technology, a DVD burner with a truly vibrating 11.1" screen displaying
true to life colors is nicely packed in a sturdy carbon fiber shell.
While many of the extremely light ultra portables escape the inclusion
of a DVD drive, leaving the user with no option but to carry the external
one during longer travels, this one integrates a dual layer dvd drive
in its primary design. 100gb of hard disk space also gives plenty of storage
space.
The LCD screen used in VAIO VGN-TZ150N/B has LED backlight that results
in exceptionally bright colors. Furthermore the 11.1" display is
widescreen with Sony's exclusive XBrite-HiColor LCD technology. What it
means is that you get deeper blacks, brighter whites depicting real-life
scenery. Needless to say that watching movies on this screen becomes a
pleasure irrespective of the small screen size. By making use of the backlight
feature, Sony intelligently conserves the utilization of power required
for brighter display.
Another area where this notebook really excels is the wide range of connectivity
features. It supports all versions of 802.11 standards including the latest
draft-N, far above the ground, wireless standard. The ultra portable is
also equipped with a cellular WAN modem for those rare occasions you do
not have access to a wireless hotspot.
As for ergonomics and user friendliness, Sony has redesigned the keyboard
for an enhanced and quieter typing experience. A MotionEye camera and
a microphone have also been integrated to notebook's design to make video
conferencing as effortless as possible.
The possibility for entertainment has not been ruled out. Not only is
VGN-TZ150N/B equipped with dedicated media buttons but also has an Instant
Mode where you can play videos or music without wasting time booting up
the system first.
Overall VAIO VGN-TZ150N/B offers extreme mobility, superior performance,
advance security options and admirable entertainment features, all packed
in a lightweight and compact design.
