The X60 was designed to be a highly portable laptop, ideal for students or other very mobile users. Barely weighing over three pounds, the X60 performs as good as many and even heavier laptops. The X60 runs on an Intel Dual Core processor, which was designed specifically for mobile laptops. The Dual Core processor is supported by 512 MB of RAM, which can be upgraded to a maximum of 2 GB.

The X60 is perfect for those users wishing to minimize the need for cords and wires. It comes standard with a built-in wireless card that supports IEEE 802.11a, b, and g. It also features built-in Bluetooth, which allows you to wirelessly sync devices with Bluetooth to your laptop. The X60 also features the standard ports, including three USB 2.0 ports and one Firewire port. An eighty GB hard drive provides plenty of storage space
.

Thanks to its ultra light design, the X60 is able to get almost eight solid hours of battery life. The X60 also gets good battery light with power intensive activities, such as watching a DVD movie on an airplane. This is made easy by the combo drive, which features a CD-RW and DVD-ROM. The X60 can write CDs at a speed of 24x, while DVDs play at a speed of 8x.

DVD movies, along with other applications, appear crisply on the 12.1" screen that supports over sixteen million colors. So if you're looking for an ultra-portable laptop that can still perform well, look no further than the ThinkPad X60.
