Take a breath! Searching for a laptop, which has excellent graphics and is also useful for business purposes? You are in the right direction. The new Inspiron 6000 Dedicated Graphics Advanced offers an impressive and enhanced multimedia performance. The machine in the manufacturer's view is versatile and of affordable wide screen, and we do agree with this statement, because it simply is. Whether you are a businessman, a multimedia lover or a businessman with a longing and need for impressive visual experience, this is absolutely what you are looking for.

An integrated ATI Mobility Radeon X300 is what makes this model call Dedicated Graphics. Designed with 4 parallel 3d rendering pipelines, X300 opens the doors for numerous possibilities that Intel Integrated Graphics or other not up to the mark cards won't let happen. Take your digital photography adventures to the next level, play streaming video smoothly and enhance your web surfing experience. It also makes video editing an enjoyable task. PCI Express support is also present, as this is where next generation operating systems and applications will be headed to.

Basic hardware profile of Inspiron 6000 Dedicated Graphics Advanced is as follow:

  • Intel Pentium M Processor 725, 1.6 GHz / 2MB Cache / 400MHz FSB
  • 15.4 inch UltraSharp WSXGA+ LCD Panel
  • 512MB DDR2 SDRAM Standard
  • 60GB Ultra ATA Hard drive
  • Integrated v.92 56K capable modem
Starting off with its appearance and looks, the machine is 6.65 pounds heavy. It has a slim height of 1.52" and a depth of 10.45". The laptop's skin is a division of silver at top and black at the base.

The new Inspiron 6000 Dedicated Graphics Advanced has a 15.4" wide screen that definitely rocks over the conventional 15" LCD display panels. With its UltraSharp technology, it features admirable contrast ratios leading to vivid and fantastic display of the graphics.

The keyboard is placed sizable to the platform. You can easily scroll the documents and web pages up and down. Typing on the buttons is good but you have to see if it goes along with you.

Just like other models in the 6000 Series, the sides of the slim 6000 Dedicated Graphics have DVD, media control buttons, and speakers. Speakers come with a subwoofer and the media controlling buttons let you play, forward, rewind, or adjust the volume as desired. The machine has an integrated stereo sound, which has an effective upshot on the sound quality.

The appealing part of the Memory is that not only is it upgradeable to 2 GB but the 2 SoDIMM's that are available are both accessible by the user. It means you are not limited by any memory configuration you opted for while purchasing. The hard drives can also be upgraded as required.

6-cell Lithium Ion battery gives 4+ hours of computing time, owing to the use of Pentium M based processor. Whereas, the optional 9-cell one is powerful enough to last 5+ hours.
